About

It all began by taking an upholstery night class. I wanted a hobby and thought upholstery might suit. I grew up with a father who was a joiner and mother who made kilts. So I wasn't new to using a hammer or working a sewing machine, which are two of the skills I guessed would be required in upholstery.

In the pandemic I could no longer ship my upholstered footstools to my main market in the USA therefore I had no choice but to diversify

Making dog toys was the natural choice. Our family had adopted a schnoodle several years previously, who we called Macy, and I had begun creating toys for her and her friends. The reason I did this was because any toy I bought for Macy (and there were many) would be sniffed once then Macy would stalk away with her tail in the air and a look of distain on her face - what I was buying did not entertain or interest her.

I therefore, with Macy and her friends 'assistance', embarked on some testing and together we came up with a few ideas of what doggies liked or loved doing. From there I began selling them locally after which I started selling them online.

Thank you for taking the time to read this
