These soft squashy balls are made of six spheres of fleece sewn together to make a ball. Then one halk has a covering attached to make a hiding place where treats can be placed for your dog to find and retrieve.
The pocket at first may be quite tight therefore when placing treats let half of it show until it loosens off and your dog can confidently work its nose further in.
The balls are constructed by sewing two sets of three spheres together. I then cover one set with a rectangle of fleece which makes a close fitting pocket . I then sew both sets together and fill with sheepskin stuffing. This makes them feel soft and because of this they are not perfectly round.
Any small dogs who love to sniff out treats will love these. My own Snoodle and her doggy friends, that we trailed them with do. The balls are made from fabric which continual chewing dogs will eventually damage. Small rips in the seams can be repaired by sewing them closed. As with all doggy toys supervision is advised. As with all toys the life of it will depend on the play interaction.
